Flowering the Cross on Easter Sunday, April 17, 2022
You are invited to participate in an ancient tradition of Flowering the Cross. Artwork from as early as the sixth century show Christians transforming a barren empty cross into a thing of beauty. This tradition represents our journey from Good Friday to Easter, as well as reminds us of the presence of Christ among us today. On Easter Sunday, you are invited to bring flowers to transform our empty cross into a symbol of God’s redeeming love. The cross will be by the red doors leading into the church.
